Exhibition Announcement: MALI
Works donated by the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) to the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) are now on view in
Donación Patricia Phelps de Cisneros. Obras para el MALI, which opened to the public on August 25, 2026.
The exhibition presents works from the
CPPC’s donation of contemporary Latin American art to MALI, selected in collaboration with the museum to strengthen the regional scope of its collection. The presentation includes works by Laura Anderson Barbata, Adrián Balseca, Donna Conlon and Jonathan Harker, Elena Damiani, Ana Roldán, Oswaldo Terreros, and David Zink Yi. Also on view is a work by nineteenth century Peruvian artist José Gil de Castro from
an earlier CPPC donation to the museum.
The exhibition continues a relationship between the CPPC and MALI that spans more than two decades. In 2004, MALI presented
Diálogos: Arte latinoamericano desde la Colección Cisneros, an exhibition that brought together four centuries of art from Latin America. During this period, Fundación Cisneros also developed educational initiatives in Peru, including Actualización de Maestros en Educación (AME), a teacher training program that reached more than 3,000 educators in over 500 educational centers across the country between 2003 and 2007.
Donación Patricia Phelps de Cisneros. Obras para el MALI is on view in Temporary Gallery 2 and Gallery 20 and 26 of MALI Colecciones.
