Exhibition Announcement: Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao

Works from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) are now on view in Visions from Overseas: Traveler Artists in the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, which opened to the public on October 6, 2026.

Curated by Estrella de Diego, the exhibition brings together more than 150 works from the CPPC’s Traveler Artists collection, including paintings, drawings, photographs, maps, books, and publications. Dating from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries, these works offer a visual chronicle of the ways artists and travelers recorded, interpreted, and represented the landscapes, territories, and cultures of Latin America.

Visions from Overseas is presented as part of the inaugural program marking the completion of the museum’s renovation and expansion, developed by Norman Foster and Luis María Uriarte. The exhibition is on view in the Modern Building, Floor 0, through January 21, 2027.
