This catalogue accompanied the exhibition Correspondences: Contemporary Art from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros that took place at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts (February–April 2008). For this exhibition, the Fundación Cisneros/Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and Wheaton College developed a collaborative relationship working towards advancing the theory and practices of art education in a liberal arts college. Faculty and students at Wheaton worked with educators and curators from the FC/CPPC to produce the exhibition Correspondences and the accompanying publication. The catalogue includes a preface by Patricia Phelps de Cisneros; a foreword by Wheaton College President Ronald A. Crutcher; an essay by exhibition curator Carlos Palacios; biographical information on the artists represented in the exhibition; and interpretive texts on individual artworks written by fourteen Wheaton students.
