Carlos Cruz-Diez. Entretiens avec Ariel Jiménez, the French language edition of Carlos Cruz-Diez in conversation with/en conversación con Ariel Jiménez--the first title in the Conversaciones/Conversations series published by the CPPC--has been released by the Beaux-Arts de Paris les éditions and the Cruz-Diez Foundation.

The 184-page soft-cover book contains three decades of conversations between curator and art historian Ariel Jiménez and preeminent artist Carlos Cruz-Diez.

Born in Venezuela in 1923, Cruz-Diez traveled in Western Europe throughout the 1950s, absorbing Bauhaus color theory and trends in geometric abstraction. He returned to Venezuela in 1957 to help initiate a massive wave of experimentation in Abstract, Concrete, Op and Kinetic art. He continues to pursue his interest in the relationship between color and perception in installations, environments and public sculptures.

The original bilingual (English-Spanish) print edition was published by CPPC in 2010 with a subsequent ebook edition (EPUB3 and MOBI) released in 2013 by CPPC and MAPP Editions. A Portuguese edition by Brazilian publisher Cosac Naify was published in 2014.
