Santiago Pol

Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1946. He is a painter, graphic designer and university professor.

Pol has presented work in over fifteen solo exhibitions and has participated in various international poster biennials.

He has won numerous awards and prizes in Venezuela, Poland, Germany, Portugal, the United States, Japan, and Cuba, among them the Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas, 2001.

He has been a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale since 1997 and is a Goodwill Ambassador of CELAM in Caracas (2014).

Pol has been a professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, the Universidad Santa María, the Universidad Simón Bolívar, the Escuela de Artes Plásticas Cristóbal Rojas, PRODISEÑO in Caracas, and he is the Founder and Dean of the Integral Design degree program at Universidad Experimental del Yaracuy.
