Graciela Silvestri

Graciela Silvestri, (Buenos Aires, 1954) has a degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, and a PhD in History from the same university.

She is an independent researcher and member of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research, a professor of Theory of Architecture at the National University of La Plata, and a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Silvestri is the author of several books and articles, including El paisaje como cifra de armonía (along with Fernando Aliata, Nueva Visión, Buenos Aires, 2001), El color del río. Historia cultural del paisaje del Riachuelo (Editorial de la Universidad nacional de Quilmes, Buenos Aires, 2004) and El lugar común. Una historia de las figuras de paisaje en el Rio de la Plata (Edhasa, Buenos Aires, 2011).
