Camilo holds a B.S. from Southern New Hampshire University and a M.A. in Art History from Universidad de Antioquia. The relationship of man and his environment has been of continual interest throughout his different projects. His work approaches landscape representation from a cultural and historical perspective blurring the lines between photography and video. Camilo's graduate thesis, "The Illustrated look or the Illustration of the look: Romanticism in Humboldt’s American landscapes", explores idealism and subjectivity in images from travel literature in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Some of his exhibitions include: Colombian Art, Four decades in the Suramericana Collection, Museo de Arte de El Salvador, San Salvador, (2014); Díalog with Landscape, Museo de Arte e Historia de Guanajuato, León, México, (2013). Saberdesconocer, 43 Salón (inter) Nacional de Artistas, Museo de Antioquia, Medellín, (2013).
