The Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros will be part of the Feria Iberoamericana de Arte (FIA 2012), with the educational projects to develops to support research, artistic production and specialization of artists and art professionals. Furthermore, the CPPC will present works produced by two Venezuelans benefited from training grants offered by the collection.
As part of its grants program, the CPPC offers a summer residency for emerging visual artists in Latin America, especially Venezuela, at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, USA, and an additional residency at Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas (CIACENTRO ) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, providing the necessary financial support for their participation.
Oscar Abraham Pabon, the CIACENTRO fellow, and Javier Rodriguez, a beneficiary of the Skowhegan residency, will have the opportunity to present a selection of works produced during their residencies.
Caracas FIA will take place in the Salón Naiguatá del Hotel Tamanaco Intercontinental,located in Las Mercedes, Caracas, from June 27 to July 2, 2012.
