Ferreira Gullar in conversation with/en conversación con Ariel Jiménez, Panel Discussion

The Library Council of The Museum of Modern Art & the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros invite you to a panel discussion celebrating the launch of the fifth book in the CONVERSACIONES/CONVERSATIONS series, Ferreira Gullar in conversation with/ en conversación con Ariel Jiménez.

The panel, presented in conjunction with the MoMA’s exhibition Ecstatic Alphabets/ Heaps of Language, which opens May 6th, will explore Ferreira Gullar’s concrete poetry as well as the history of poem-objects and concrete language experiments. Panelists will include Laura Hoptman, curator of the exhibition; art historian and author of the book, Ariel Jiménez; Director of Programs at the Bronx Museum, Sergio Bessa; and Leland Guyer, Professor of Hispanic and Latin American Studies and English language translator of Gullar’s poetry. The panel will be moderated by Robert Storr, Dean of Yale University School of Art.
