Discusiones: vanguardias del siglo XX [Discussions: avant-gardes of the 20th century], is a series of lectures by Venezuelan critics and curators who will discuss themes related to the avant-garde movements of the 20th century, including artists, movements, and other art-specific problems, in an effort to provide a broad view of the artistic currents of the past.

In collaboration with the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), the lectures will be targeted to students and young professionals in an effort to enrich their knowledge of the field, ignite their curiosity and the critical capacity necessary to approach and interpret the field of art from a range of perspectives.

An annual seminar for the interdisciplinary study of modern and contemporary art and culture, with a special focus on the art of Latin America. The first seminar titled Mondrian: Lecturas paralelas will be held in Caracas, Venezuela in June 2011.
