Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro

Gabriel's timeline looks something like this: La Coruña-London-Aberdeen-Colchester-Madrid-New York-Austin-Porto Alegre-New York. Along the way he picked up an MA in Latin American Studies and Art History and a PhD in Latin American art history. He was founding curator of the University of Essex Collection of Latin American Art, Director of Visual Arts at The Americas Society, Curator of Latin American Art at the Blanton Museum of Art, University of Texas at Austin, and Chief Curator of the 6th Mercosur Biennial in Porto Alegre. He writes when he can, lectures when he can't, and doesn't get much sleep.
